EXECUTIVE SECRETARY
The IFRTD is a global network of individuals and organisations working  
towards improved access and mobility for the rural poor in developing

2009 is an exciting year for the IFRTD. On the 1st April, IFRTD will  
become an independent organisation and we seek an Executive Secretary  
to lead the IFRTD Secretariat team and the wider network through this  
period of transition towards a sustainable and dynamic future.

The Executive Secretary is the chief executive officer and principal  
spokesperson of the International Secretariat of the IFRTD, and is  
responsible for ensuring the effective coordination and implementation  
of the IFRTD strategy.

In this post, you will be responsible for the line management of staff  
and sub-contractors of the International Secretariat, sourcing core  
and project funding, managing contracts and finances, liaising with  
the IFRTD Executive Committee and Board, and leading the  
implementation of the Forum’s strategy.
Salary:  UK. £47,900 pa inc London Weighting.  Two-year contract.
Location: based in London with significant international travel
