[Wigsat-l] Gender in Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction

It is our honor to send you the attached invitation to the Third  
Global Congress of Women in Politics and Governance which will be held  
on October 19-22, 2008  in the Philippines. The theme of the congress  
is "Gender in Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction".


May we request you to please help us disseminate information regarding  
this congress to the members of parliaments, decision makers from  
governments offices, environment  and disaster risk reduction agencies/ 
offices, media practitioners, and others who you believe will find  
this congress useful from your country.  Kindly pass on copies of the  
invitations and the information sheet regarding the global congress.

congress will discuss possible legislation that can be adapted by   
parliaments and relevant offices/ agencies that will introduce the
