Faculty for the Future:

Role Models for the Next Generation

Women in science and technology
Faculty for the Future is a strategic partnership with the education
sector in emerging economies to encourage women in their pursuit of
academic careers in science and technology. Building on our worldwide
network of university relationships, this program provides funding for
advanced graduate study. The long-term goal is to support role models
and improve gender balance at the faculty level so that more young
women are attracted into scientific disciplines.

Grant recipients in the Faculty for the Future program are expected to
return to their home countries to continue their academic careers.

The 2008-2009 program will open on September 1st.

Eligibility
Women must meet the following criteria:

sciences and related technologies

     * demonstrate active participation in faculty life and outreach
to encourage young women in to the sciences
