[Ict4women] TIGA Awards - ECA and Canada Fund for Africa

The TIGA Awards are an ECA/Canada Fund for Africa annual event aimed  
at recognising the work of African Governments in the effective use of  
ICTs for public services delivery as part of ECA’s African Information  
Society Initiative (AISI) and Canada support for ICTs for Development  
in Africa through the ePolicy Resource Network (ePol-Net)programme.  
TIGA targets African Governments and institutions that are engaged in  
initiating, developing and implementing ICTs for public services and  
contributing to the development of the Afrian Information Society. The  
awards mainly focus on entries in four categories: 1) public service  
delivery to citizens/communities; 2) improved health services through  
the use of ICTs; 3) improved educational services through the use of  
ICTs; and 4) Public Private Partnership (PPP) in economic and  
financial e-services delivery. Closing date 31st January 2009.
