Dear Researcher and ICT Professional,

Greetings from Bangladesh Working Group World Congress on ICT for  
Development (WCID) 2009.



Information and Communication Technology (ICT) today is the one of the  
most effective tool to bring the transformation of Digital Bangladesh  
through sensitization and application in different sectors of  
agriculture and industries while maintaining the sustainable  
development. "ICT for Development" is the catalectic to implement the  
United Nations Millennium Goal: To make full use of information and  
communication technology in developing countries out of poverty, and  
narrow the gap between the developed countries to achieve sustainable  
development in the world.

You will be pleased to know that at this very onset of Digital  
Bangladesh, National Congress on ICT for Development (NCID) for the  
year 2009 has been declared in Bangladesh on Saturday 9 May 2009 under  
the leadership of Bangladesh Working Group for World Congress on ICT  
for Development, a group formed in collaboration with Professor Y X  
Zhong to represent Bangladesh in the World Congress on ICT for  
Development (WCID) 2009 in September 2-4, 2009. Successful ICT cases  
will be presented in the form of paper at this national congress. The  
website of Bangladesh Working Group is hosted at http://www.comjagat.com/bdwcid/ 
. All the updates will be posted time to time on the website.

We have the pleasure to invite you or your colleague to submit a paper  
in the upcoming National Congress on the theme enclosed in the call  
for the paper. The submission of the paper is required on or before 1  
May 2009 in the form of both PDF and DOC through email at bdwcid at gmail.com 
. The notification of acceptance will be given on or before 6 May  
2009. The accepted paper will be presented at National Congress on  
Saturday 9 May 2009.  We are looking forward to your submission of

Call for Paper

  The National Congress on ICT for Development is going to be hosted  
with the perspective of World Congress on ICT for Development (WCID),  
will be held on Saturday May 9, 2009. The venue will be declared  
later. The primary purpose is to get the Industry and Academia  
participate together in  understanding, share and exchange ideas and  
opportunities in the process of ICT for Development.

The National Congress is intended to showcase and demonstrate ICT for  
Development through concept paper presented at the National Congress.  
The successful cases will be put forward as the country position paper  
in World Congress for ICT for Development (WCID) 2009 to be held in  
China. The working group website is hosted at http://www.comjagat.com/bdwcid/ 
  and all the updates will be posted time to time on the congress  
website.

Submission Guideline

TITLE OF A REGULAR PAPER

Abstract
The abstract should normally have one paragraph of a concise summary  
of the material discussed in the article below. Not to use footnotes  
in the abstract or the title. For those Abstract without text, the  
length of the Abstract can be expanded to a one page.

Keywords: Maximum 5 keywords

1.0 Introduction
A brief introduction to the paper is given here..

2.0 Text Format
The title of the paper is typed in all Capital Letters (boldface 18pt)  
and centered on the page.. The author’s name is typed in capital and  
lower case bold letters (12pt) and centered on the page. Directly  
under the author’s name in capital and lower case letters (9pt) and  
also centered is the author’s affiliation, address, plus e-mail  
address and fax number of (at least) the corresponding author.  
Manuscripts must be typed with single spaced using 10.5 points  
characters. Only the Times New Roman font is accepted. The text must  
fall within a frame of 18 cm x 24 cm centered on an A4 page (21 cm x  
29.7 cm). Paragraphs are separated by 6 points and with no  
indentation. The text is written in two columns and justified. Each  
column has a width of 8.8 cm and the columns are separated by a margin  
of 0.4 cm. The maximum number of the full paper is 6. Do not number  
the pages. The final format is a PDF file.

2.1 Figures and tables Figures and tables should be centered in the  
column, numbered consecutively throughout the text, and each should  
have a caption. All figures and tables should be included in the  
electronic versions of the full paper.

2.2 Equations Equations should be typed within the text, centered, and  
should be numbered consecutively throughout the text. They should be  
referred to in the text as Equation (n). Their numbers should be typed  
in parentheses, flush right.

Acknowledgements Acknowledgement for funding organizations etc. should  
be placed in a separate section at the end of the text.
References The list of references should be ordered alphabetically  
according to the first author’s surname. All references should be  
cited in the text, and using square brackets such as [1] and [2,3].
