***Join WN News and Take a Byte out of Gender In-Justice!***

Dear Friends

Women'sNet - in our tenth year- has redesigned our website! We are
very excited to present a whole new design, and new interactive
features such as blogging, forums and comments.

If you create a new account on our website you can add your
own comments, blog entries and forum comments - and, in seconds, make
your
voice heard in gender debates and discussions.

There are two things you can do to be included - join the Women'sNet
News list, and register for an account on our website:

1.  Join Women'sNet News list:
The Women'sNet News email list contains current news items relating to
gender and women, including:
* News items cover events, alerts, new publications, opinions and
commentary;
* A listing of events happening in South Africa and abroad and which
relate to women or gender;
* Calendar of events for occasions such as Women’s Month and the 16 Days
of Activism on Violence Against Women;
* Job and study opportunities within the gender sector are also updated
weekly.

To subscribe to our mailing list go to www.womensnet.org.za, and (on the
right hand side of the screen) enter your email address and click on
submit. You will receive an email with instructions, in which you need
to
confirm your subscription.

Women'sNet News is currently received by gender activist, staff in
women's
organisations, academics, media workers, information workers and
individual women in South Africa and globally.The email list is a free
resource to
disseminate your news and commentary, events and job opportunities (you
don’t need to subscribe to do this, just send us an email!- intern at womensnet.org.za
).

2. Register an Account on our website:
Visit our website and create your own account. Once you do, you will
be able to add
your own content relating to ICTs, gender, women's movements and
feminism. (Includes
bogging, recent news, events and more).
- Go to http://womensnet.org.za (some of our regular visitors might
have to refresh their browsers to see the new website)
- Click on "create new account" on the right of the home page (Under
"user login")
- Select a user name (so that your blog, forum entries and comments
will include your name or a pseudonym)
and viola! now you can create your own blog entries, comment on news
or blog posts, and contribute to forum discussions.

---->> More about Women'sNet:
Women'sNet is an independent Non-Governmental Organization that enables
and empowers South African women to use the Internet to find the people,
issues, resources and tools they need for women's social activism.
Women'sNet was the first in South Africa to harness information and
communication technologies (ICT) for women's development. We implement
projects, offer training and capacity building and other services to
increase women's strategic use of ICTs to achieve their identified
